Deviled Oysters
4-6 servings
2 doz. Shucked oysters (1 pint)
1 c. Breadcrumbs
ΒΌ c. Breadcrumbs for sprinkle
1 Tsp. Butter, melted
1/2 pint Cream
Black pepper, salt and cayenne to taste
Put oysters in saucepan with butter and cream. Season with salt and peppers; add 1 cup of breadcrumbs. Allow to simmer 5 minutes, stirring. Put this mixture in a baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and add dots of butter on top. Bake until brown in medium oven.
