Where do you source your seafood?

All our seafood is wild caught from some of the best regulated waters in the world – the Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana bayous and the Atlantic Ocean.

Is my seafood sustainable?

Yes! Saltwater Grove Seafood believes in the importance of preserving our fisheries and not overtaxing our oceans and bayous. Our seafood is sustainably wild caught in the U.S.

How will my seafood be packed, shipped and delivered?

Your seafood arrives carefully packaged in a Styrofoam shipping cooler protected by a cardboard box. We use food-safe, frozen gel packs and dry ice to keep your seafood cold. Feel free to reuse your frozen gel packs.

When your shipment arrives, you can cook it immediately or store it in your freezer for later use.

How my seafood delivered?

Your order will be shipped with frozen gel packs or dry ice to ensure that it stays safe in transit. Then it is packed with our normal packaging and shipped via UPS. If some thawing has occurred, it doesn't necessarily mean your shipment is unsafe. Check if your seafood is still cold to the touch, and contact us if you feel your shipment did not arrive in good condition.

Is my seafood frozen or fresh?

Your seafood is always frozen, so it can get to you as fresh as possible. We know that sounds kind of weird, but it’s actually true. By freezing wild-caught seafood as soon as it’s brought to shore, any potential parasites are killed off and your seafood lasts longer. It tastes just as delicious, too.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to the continental U.S. We are unable to ship to P.O. boxes or FPO and APO addresses.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept most credit cards as well as PayPal and Amazon Pay.

Where are you located?

Our Port of Call is Empire, located in beautiful Southeastern Louisiana in Plaquemines Parish, the “Catching Capital” for freshwater, inshore and offshore fishing. When you purchase from Saltwater Grove Seafood, you’re not only getting a superior product, you’re also benefitting an American community and way of life.

Do you have recipes?

Yes and we’re adding more recipes regularly!

What is the cost of shipping?

Shipping is calculated based on the weight of your order.

When will I receive my order?

We ship all of our orders via UPS. Your package will take 1 to 3 days to arrive after shipping. Select your delivery date at checkout and we will be sure to deliver your product fresh and ready to enjoy. Keep in mind that we ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure your product arrives safely before the weekend. We will email you with shipping and tracking information.

Orders placed on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday ship the next day if placed before 8 am CST.
Orders placed on Tuesday after 8 am CST thru Sunday ship the following Monday.

Please Note: Due to shortages and shipping delays associated with COVID-19, some orders may experience delays up to 24 hours.

Can I modify my order after it is placed?

As long as your modification comes in before 12:00 am CST on the day that it is to be shipped out, our customer service team will do their best to make the requested changes to your order. Simply call our friendly staff at 504-220-2265.

I’d like to order now, but can I have my product arrive at a later date?

Yes, there is a delivery date calendar on our shopping cart page. Select any available date you’d like to have your product arrive! That means you can order now, but have your product arrive at a future date you select.*

*Please Note: When you select a desired delivery date, we reserve the right at our sole discretion to ship your package for an earlier arrival date. Shipping packages to arrive on a precise delivery date when using third-party shippers, such as UPS is an extremely difficult task over which we have very little control, especially given weather delays and periods of high volume. We regularly monitor weather patterns, volume levels, and exception frequency. Given our best judgment, we may choose to ship your package early in order to lessen the chances that your package will arrive after your desired delivery date. If a package arrives at a different date than your desired delivery date, we will have no obligation for a full or partial refund of any kind. You will be alerted by email when your product ships.

Do I need an account to place an order?

Nope! You may check out as a guest. However, creating an account lets you add products to your cart and checkout fast. You’ll also be able to track your orders.

How do I track my order?

Our orders are generally shipped via UPS. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with the tracking number for your order.

Can I send an order as a gift?

Yes! When you checkout, just update the shipping address with your lucky friend’s address.

Why are some seafood products not available at times?

Once in a while, you will discover one of our fresh, tasty and healthy seafood options out of stock or out of season. Occasionally, the fish aren’t biting! Weather also greatly impacts availability.

Does Saltwater Grove Seafood have a store?

We don’t have a physical store, but you can shop online for our fabulous seafood 24/7.

Locals are more than welcome to schedule a pickup to avoid shipping charges.

Are whole fish cleaned before shipping?

Yes, we gut all whole fish for you before shipping.

What about mercury? Should I avoid seafood because of mercury?

No. Mercury is a naturally occurring heavy metal found in air, water and soil. Eventually, it finds its way into living things in tiny quantities. There has been some unnecessary worry around mercury in seafood. It generally thought that the benefits of eating seafood far outweigh the risks. The substantial majority of popular seafood is low in mercury. For most people, mercury isn’t a concern and for limited groups, you can manage that risk.

Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, breastfeeding mothers and parents/caregivers feeding children two and older can make decisions on safe and nutritious seafood consumption by following FDA guidelines. See FDA Guidelines.

In general, the FDA recommends that these groups eat 8-12oz of a variety of seafood each week due to its fantastic health benefits and the wide selection of low mercury options.
